Bangkok!

Off the plane and its the polar opposite to Dubai, they do have water features but they only exist in the shape and form of grids that barely cover the sewage running under the city....NICE. Now is where it began to get fun with the use of an Air Train (think london underground but nicer...oh and not underground) our hostel was called Lub D and was located on Siam Sq so logic would dictate that we only have to get off the train at Siam Sq right? WRONG! if there is anything in this world I do not wanna see again its an angry, hot, tired Jade with a 20 kilo backpack on in Bangkok heat. Frightening when it sunk in that the hostel was not as easy to find as first anticipated.
After some help from the lovely shop lady we were at Lub D and realised that if we would have stayed on the train for just another literal 10 seconds we would have been right at the door...CUE THE CHIN!!!. The hostel was alright everything I fully expected from one and Jades only complaint is that there is no carpet so all in all a winner.
Not really too much to say about Bangkok apart from its exactly how you expect it to be, Cramped, sweaty and full of dodgey looking hot dogs from a street vender. First meal in Bangkok however we walked into a resteraunt and think that the dishes are small due to the pictures shown in the menu. We could not have been more wrong. Ordering 7 dishes and only finishing 2 and barely denting another 2 is not a great start.. LESSON LEARNT! One good thing I will say is that the knock offs are pretty good (deffo give Salford market a run for its money) tempted on our return to purchase a pair of *cough* "Dre Beats" for 8pound got to be real right?
Temples visited, Buddahs (that recline) seen, sweat lost and food left..that was Bangkok part one.

Now off to begin our real journey of Thailand when we step off the ferry and into KOH CHANG!

See you then!
